METGE 'Go Green' with friends

On 21 June 2019, METGE staff travelled to Kapchorwa laden with tree seedlings at the invitation of the Empowered and Relevant group to celebrate the international 'Go Green' event
'Go Green' is an international event and is a call to action to campaign and educate people about the very real effect of climate change and other environmental threats.
The 800 seedlings donated by METGE were received enthusiastically by those assembed at the event. Some were planted at the venue with instructions from METGE staff.
At Kapchorwa over 50 people gathered to hear speeches on the necessity to protect the environment we all share, the species of trees to be distributed and their uses.
